Child Health Nursing

Overview

Child health nursing department is crucial part of health care providing specialized care for neoates, infants, children and adolescents. The department provide student centred teaching and learning in conducive atmosphere that helps the students to gain confidence in their nursing knowledge and skills.  Our department fosters a student-centred learning environment where innovation, critical thinking, and hands-on practice come together. Our students acquire comprehensive practical training at Carmel Hospital and Rajagiri Multi Speciality Hospital.

Objectives

1. Apply concepts, theories, and principles of pediatric nursing in diverse health care settings.
2. Improving students abilities through application of self learning and critical thinking method.
3. Develop sound judgment and decision-making skills to address health problems of children and families
4. Participate in preventive and curative aspects of nursing care

Demonstrate skill in conducting nursing research, interpreting and utilising the findings from health related research.
